Courtesy Pay & Courtesy Pay Extended Coverage

Courtesy Pay helps protect you against the cost, embarrassment, and inconvenience of an accidental overdraft on your account for emergencies or unexpected situations. Under the Courtesy Pay Service, if an item is presented for payment against insufficient funds, we will pay the item, up to an assigned limit, creating an overdraft in your account. There is no charge for having this privilege on your account unless you use the service. If you do not overdraw your account, you will never be charged an overdraft fee. If you use Courtesy Pay, you will be charged our normal insufficient funds fee of $34 for each item with a maximum charge of six items per day. The amount of the fee is included in your assigned limit.

Our standard Courtesy Pay Service covers checks, in-person withdrawals, ACH withdrawals and other withdrawals from electronic means.

Whether your overdrafts will be paid is discretionary and we reserve the right not to pay. For example, we typically do not pay overdrafts if your account is not in good standing, you are not making regular deposits, or if you have reached your assigned Courtesy Pay limit. We reserve the right to require you to pay any overdrafts immediately.

You may also authorize us to include your ATM and one-time debit card transactions, these type of transactions are not included in our standard Courtesy Pay service.

Constant Cash

Constant Cash, an unsecured line of credit¹ linked to your HCN Bank Checking account, helps you manage unexpected expenses and gives you the peace of mind knowing you’re covered against temporary cash flow shortages. Most of all, it’s a safeguard against overdrafts and an increase in your purchasing power.

With Constant Cash:

• Funds are automatically advanced into your checking account in $100 increments (up to your approved credit limit) when your checking account funds are depleted.
• Your checking account is automatically debited for monthly payments, or you can pay off the balance at any time.
• Interest is charged on the amount advanced and is typically is a less expensive form of overdraft protection.

Overdraft Transfer Service

Another great option for protecting against overdrafts and potentially the least expensive method is our Overdraft Transfer Service. Link your Checking account to other savings or checking accounts at HCN Bank, where available funds are automatically transferred into your account when funds are depleted.

• Automatically moves funds into your checking account in $100 increments (up to the balance in the account) when your checking account funds are depleted.
• Transfers from savings and money market checking accounts are included in the limited types of transfers of six per month.
• $5 daily transfer fee applies
